Message from PIAM PARS officially closed on 31 July 2025
Following the announcement on 1 August 2024, PIAM Authorised Repairers Scheme (PARS) officially concluded operations on 31 July 2025, after serving the general insurance industry for 42 years.
We are honoured to have administered PARS in support of the motor insurance industry, and we thank our stakeholders including regulatory authorities, workshops, insurers and customers for their collaboration and support in the scheme over the years.

Official Announcement: Launch of Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) – 15 May 2025
We are pleased to announce that the Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) process will officially go live on 15 May 2025.
As part of this launch, repairers who have signed up to participate in the Code will be able to raise complaints directly within the system.
Accessing the User Guide
To support users in navigating the IDR process, user guides have been made available within the system.
For Repairers:
1. Log in to the Merimen system.
2. Click on “Help” and select “Help Contents”.
3. From the listing, locate “User Guide for Repairers”.
4. Under this section, select “User Guide - IDR (Internal Dispute Resolution)”.
For Insurers:
1. Log in to the Merimen system.
2. Click on “Help” and select “Help Contents”.
3. From the listing, locate “User Guide for Insurers”.
4. Under this section, select “User Guide - IDR (Internal Dispute Resolution)”.

Participation of the Malaysian Code of Conduct (COC) for Repairers
1. Existing Repairers with Merimen eClaim account: please log-in and click on “Main Menu” selection. To read the Insurers/Takaful Operators-Repairers Code of Conduct (COC) message and tick the checkbox and click on “Submit” button to participate to the COC.
2. New registration: Please click here to obtain the Fermion Merimen eClaim Registration Form to register to Fermion Merimen Online eClaim in order to participate to the COC.

Message from The Pacific Insurance Berhad Notice to All Windscreen Repairers (Non- Franchise)
Subject: Mandatory Hotline Contact for Windscreen Claims – Effective 1st April 2026
Effective 1st April 2026, all windscreen claims with a sum insured of RM 5,000.00 and above are required to contact the designated hotline number 017-5180779 for the Life Stream inspection by our appointed adjusters before any repair or replacement of the windscreen is carried out. Thereafter, submission of the claim is to be done with the required documents and the repair estimate via Merimen for onward process.
Our adjuster’s operation hours are 7 days a week from 9.00am to 6.00pm (Video Live Stream Appointments) & Extended until 9.00pm daily - By Appointments Only.
All cases below the sum insured of RM5,000.00 will proceed with the normal method of submission via Merimen
This requirement is part of Pacific Insurance Berhad’s claims verification process and must be strictly adhered to by all windscreen repairers nationwide.

Message from Volvo Malaysia Sdn Bhd Reference : Labour Retail Rates Adjustment – Accident Repair
To All Insurance Agencies,
We wish to inform that Volvo Trucks Malaysia have adjusted the labor rate for accident repair to RM185 / hour. All offered prices including labor, parts or any sublet are quoted with net prices, unless otherwise stated.
The changes in the labor rate are effective from 19th March 2026 and subject to revision and sole discretion of Volvo Trucks Malaysia
For any type of repairs that is carried out in house in our service centre, customers are guaranteed the use of only genuine Volvo parts on the vehicle. The repairs are carried out according to the specification set by Volvo Trucks and customers are assured of 2 years parts warranty of the related repair, from the date of completion. The warranty however excludes normal wear and tear, incidental or consequential damages, misuse and unauthorized repairs.
Please refer to the attached appendix for the listing of service centers of Volvo Trucks in Malaysia. We would also like to take the opportunity to inform that Volvo Trucks Malaysia have never appointed any external party as our authorized repairer.
